Alzheimer's Association San Diego/Imperial County Chapter The leading voluntary health organization in Alzheimer's care, support, and research. Their mission is to eliminate Alzheimer's disease through the advancement of research, to provide and enhance care and support for all affected, and to reduce the risk of dementia through the promotion of brain health.
Elder Care Resource Team A group of independent professionals committed to elevatingthe standards of elder care services in San Diego community. Offering many of the services needed by those who are making care arrangements, handling financial and legal issues, or locating community resources for the care of an elderly relative or dependent adult.
Glenner Alzheimer's Family Centers San Diego's community resource leader for dementia-specialized adult day health care, family support services, and community and professional educational programs. Founded in 1982, the Glenner Centers are committed to providing critically needed programs that support the lives of people struggling with the effects of Alzheimer's disease and other dementias.
Out & About An eight week series of weekly outings to interesting destinations around San Diego for people with early-to-moderate stage Alzheimer's. This program repeats up to four times annually with different destinations each series. A donation is requested to enroll in the program to cover the expenses of staffing, transportation, and venues. Support Group for Individuals with Early Memory Loss A free weekly support group facilitated by trained and experienced volunteers, to assist those who are facing the challenges of early to moderate stage Alzheimer's disease and related dementias. Wednesdays 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the Alzheimer's Association's main office. Pre-registration is required.
